Lan-Cay Herington Rescue Tool
This is a Lan-Cay M11-A1 customized for survival, search and rescue operations and designed by Don Herington, one of our customers. The blade is non-blackened, (bead blasted), which allows for high-shine polishing of the blade for signaling purposes. According to Don, the blade can be polished with varying grades of sand paper and EGS, (Technical term for elbow grease). (Sorry, we do not offer polished blades.) Includes a Belt Clip Scabbard and Tool Pouch.
Don, a structural engineer, wanted the very best emergency and survival tool he could find for his son, Marshal, to take flying. Marshal is working on his flight instructor's license and is a member of the GA Tech Yellow Jacket Flying Club.
